After completing your booking, you will receive a link for appointment scheduling and a brief fertility questionnaire. The process is as follows:
Step 01: Fill in our fertility questionnaire and book your desired time slot for the fertility check on 18 September. Based on your medical history, our doctor may reach out to have a complimentary video consultation prior to the fertility check.
Step 02: On 18 September, we'll see you on the 10th floor of Solaris at the stipulated time of your blood test. It'll be over in 15 minutes.
Step 03: Expect to receive your personalised test report within 7 working days.
Step 04: Discuss your results with our doctor or a fertility expert over a video call.
Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is a protein produced by cells in the ovarian follicles. Think of it as a hormone that offers insight into the supply of eggs remaining in your ovaries. As we grow older, our AMH levels gradually decline, ultimately reaching 0 during menopause. While the decline in fertility happens to all of us, the specific age when we can no longer conceive differs from one person to another. And in some cases, it may be earlier than expected. AMH can give us insight into where we are on that journey.
This information is especially valuable if you're considering egg freezing, as it not only evaluates your current status but may also provide a timeframe for the urgency of freezing your eggs.
Note: AMH is not the sole predictor of your chances of conception. Additional fertility testing may be required, if your results come back abnormal, or if you have past or current reproductive health issues, including sexually transmitted infections, endometriosis, or polycystic ovaries (PCOS), all of which can contribute to fertility challenges.
