For women in or approaching menopause who want to monitor their health and reduce long-term risks. This screening checks key markers for heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis—risks that increase as estrogen levels decline during menopause.
After completing your booking, you will receive a link for appointment scheduling and a brief fertility questionnaire. The process will then be as follows:
Step 01: Visit the lab for your blood test at your chosen time slot.
Step 02: Receive your test report within 3 working days.
Step 03: Discuss your results with our doctor over a video consultation.
What is the Menopause Health Screen about?
This comprehensive screening evaluates crucial health markers that are particularly important for women going through menopause. With this screen, we assess your risk for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and osteoporosis, giving you a detailed understanding of your current health and helping guide your care decisions during and after menopause.
Diabetes Screen
These tests measure your average blood sugar levels over the past few months, your current fasting glucose levels and your insulin levels. Menopause is associated with an increased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, so monitoring these markers helps detect early signs of insulin resistance or diabetes.
Cholesterol Screen
Menopause can increase cholesterol levels, raising the risk of cardiovascular disease. This screen checks your total cholesterol, HDL ("good") cholesterol, LDL ("bad") cholesterol, and triglycerides to provide a comprehensive picture of your heart health. A balanced lipid profile is essential to prevent heart disease as you age.
Cardiac Risk: Apo Lipoprotein A, Apo Lipoprotein B
Apolipoproteins are key proteins involved in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular risk. Apo A is associated with "good" cholesterol (HDL), while Apo B is linked to "bad" cholesterol (LDL). Monitoring these levels helps assess your risk of heart disease more accurately.
Calcium and Vitamin D Screening
Bone health is a major concern for menopausal women due to decreased estrogen levels, which can lead to bone loss and increase the risk of fractures. The Vitamin D and calcium tests evaluate your body’s ability to maintain healthy bones.
No food and drinks for 8-12h (besides plain water) before the test.
Can be tested any day of your menstrual cycle
