Cervical cancer ranks among the top 10 cancers affecting women in Singapore. HPV is responsible for nearly all cases of cervical cancer (99.7%), and about 80% of sexually active women will get HPV at some point in their lives. In its more benign form, HPV can also cause genital warts.
Often, HPV shows no symptoms at its early stages, making it easy to spread unknowingly. The good news is that if HPV is detected early, it can be easily treated. Regular screenings are essential for early detection and effective treatment.
After completing your booking, you will receive a link for appointment scheduling and a brief fertility questionnaire. The process is as follows:
Step 01: Fill in our fertility questionnaire and book your desired time slot for the fertility check on 18 September. Based on your medical history, our doctor may reach out to have a complimentary video consultation prior to the fertility check.
Step 02: On 18 September, we'll see you on the 10th floor of Solaris at the stipulated time of your test. It'll be over in 15 minutes.
Step 03: Expect to receive your test report within 7 working days.
Step 04: Discuss your results with our doctor over a video call.
This screening is designed to assess your cervical health and detect early signs of cervical cancer. By combining two crucial tests, we can provide a comprehensive evaluation to ensure your continued well-being and peace of mind.
Pap Smear (ThinPrep): A procedure that collects cells from the cervix to check for abnormalities that could indicate cervical cancer or precancerous conditions.
Human Papillomavirus Test (HPV Test): Detects high-risk strains of HPV, which are the primary cause of cervical cancer.
This check will be conducted with complete privacy. You'll need to undress from the waist down. Our female doctor will gently collect a small sample of cells from your cervix using a soft brush. The entire process will be quick and easy, taking just a few minutes.
No special preparation required.
You can still have the screening even if you're on your period. In this case, we will perform the HPV test, which is essential for detecting strains of HPV that are the primary cause of cervical cancer. You will be refunded $40 for the ThinPrep test.
