‍What happens after you book

‍After completing your booking, you will receive a link for appointment scheduling and a brief fertility questionnaire. The process is as follows:

Step 01: Fill in our fertility questionnaire and book your desired time slot for the fertility check on 18 September. Based on your medical history, our doctor may reach out to have a complimentary video consultation prior to the fertility check.
Step 02: On 18 September, we'll see you on the 10th floor of Solaris at the stipulated time of your test. It'll be over in 15 minutes.
Step 03: Expect to receive your test report within 7 working days.
Step 04: Discuss your results with our doctor over a video call.

Understanding Vaginal Discharge and When to Get Tested‍

Vaginal discharge is a normal and essential part of the body’s self-cleaning process. However, changes in color, consistency, smell, or amount can sometimes indicate an underlying issue, such as an infection or imbalance.

This test helps identify the three most common causes of abnormal discharge—bacterial vaginosis (BV), yeast infections (Candida), and trichomoniasis. These infections often have overlapping symptoms, can co-exist, and frequently recur, making accurate diagnosis crucial for effective treatment. It screens for:

• ‍Candida (Yeast Infection): Caused by an overgrowth of natural fungus in the vagina. Symptoms include thick, white discharge (cottage cheese-like), itching, redness, or swelling.‍
• BV (Bacterial Vaginosis): An imbalance of vaginal bacteria leading to an overgrowth of harmful bacteria. Symptoms include thin, grayish discharge with a strong, fishy odor, especially after sex.‍
• Trichomonas: A sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite. Symptoms may include frothy, greenish-yellow discharge, vaginal itching, irritation, and a strong odor.

BV vs. Yeast Infections: Why Proper Diagnosis Matters‍

BV and yeast infections are often mistaken for each other because they share similar symptoms, like unusual discharge and discomfort. However, they require different treatments:

• BV → Needs antibiotics to correct bacterial imbalance.
• Yeast infections → Treated with antifungal medication to eliminate Candida overgrowth.

Without proper investigations, misdiagnosis and self-treatment can lead to persistent symptoms.

• Example: Treating a yeast infection while BV remains untreated, causing symptoms to return.
• Example: Using antibiotics for BV, which disrupts vaginal flora and triggers a yeast infection.
  
  

By identifying the exact cause of your symptoms, this test helps ensure you receive the right treatment—preventing unnecessary discomfort and reducing the risk of recurrence.

How is the test done?‍

This check will be conducted with complete privacy. You'll need to undress from the waist down. Our female doctor will gently collect a small sample of cells from your cervix using a soft brush. The entire process will be quick and easy, taking just a few minutes.

Cancellation Policy

We do not accept any cancellations / refunds except in the following scenarios:

• The patient is medically unable to complete the service    
• System errors resulting in duplicated orders or order errors    
• Taylor is unable to provide the service purchased        
• Any cancellation request must be made at least 7 days prior to the on-site fertility screening event.
• Except in special cases, there would be no cancellations / refunds as long as the service has started
• Please note that Taylor does not allow for any cancellations due to change of mind. We seek your understanding for this.
